We’ve all seen high rollers in movies and shows, and watched casino hosts scramble to fill oddball requests, a la Samantha in TV’s “Las Vegas.” South Florida’s high rollers are generally not that over-the-top, Pisano says. “If you go to your local bar and you’re there every day, you want your favorite stool.” “The challenge is that often the requests come at the last minute, so it becomes, ‘How do I get a suite when the hotel is sold out?’ ” he says. Of the 28 casino hosts for the entire Hard Rock, eight care for top-end players, Pisano said. “We’re here to provide for them - maybe even ‘wow’ them.” “The high-end client is very smart and successful and has high expectations,” he says. The Hard Rock is well-equipped to complete the high roller experience, Pisano says, because it has a concert venue, hotel and upscale restaurants, including Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Tatu and the new Martorano’s.
